Our project objective is to conduct energy audits in compliance with the Austrian Federal Energy Efficiency Act (EEFFG 2014, last amended in 2023). We have already conducted numerous extensive audits at approximately 80 large companies, each with over 500 locations and a combined annual energy consumption exceeding 10,000 GWh, encompassing buildings, processes, and transportation. The potential for economic savings typically falls within the range of 3-25%.

Our audits encompass data collection and analysis, on-site inspections, and client consultations in accordance with the EN 16247 standard. If necessary, we complement these procedures with process optimization methods such as dynamic simulation models (methods (dynamic simulation models). The audit reports furnish an overview of the current situation, identifying primary energy consumers and outlining potential energy savings in pertinent areas. Moreover, we support companies in formulating comprehensive decarbonization strategies and executing associated projects.

Technical details

TTwo central ventilation systems were installed to mechanically ventilate the canteen. One serves the kitchen area, situated on the canteen's roof, while the other serves the common area, located in the basement. Heat is generated by a converter station operated by EVN and is distributed via underfloor heating. Additionally, the floor is equipped with a change-over system for cooling purposes.

To cool the canteen, an air-cooled compact chiller was installed on the factory premises. This chiller supplies cold air to various consumers within the canteen, including the floor cooling system and cooling registers of the ventilation systems, via a long-distance line. Electrical power is sourced from the existing transformer station at Plant 2 and a low-voltage main distribution board within the canteen. Moreover, a comprehensive fire alarm system with full protection and a safety lighting system were implemented.
