Energy Globe World Award Tehran

The Energy Globe World Awards 2017, the world’s most important environmental award, was announced in Tehran on 16th January 2018. The awards received applications from 2,000 projects spanning across 178 countries. The jury, which was led by Maneka Gandhi – environmentalist and Indian Union Cabinet Minister for Women and Child Development –, determined 16 finalists out of which awarded the five best. Those five awards were categorised as Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Youth. Trees Adoption from Uganda won the overall Energy Globe Award for its Tress4School project, which mitigates with climate change and financially support young people’s education.

One day before the side gala, the Iranian Energy Globe was also awarded in Tehran.  Ms Schindler, and Mr Berger, from Allplan GmbH,  – the European Association for Green Management’s (EAGM) board members – and Ms Shahri participated in the events. The EAGM was involved in the side gala organisation.
