Since sustainability is a special concern of Gebrüder Weiss, the site Wörgl was built as a first climate-neutral logistics hall. Accompanied by our affiliate ClimatePartner Austria climate-neutral building materials were already chosen beforehand. Consequently, the hall was not faced by sandwich panels, as usual by now, but by a complete timber frame construction. To heat the hall a groundwater heat pump has been installed. The supply of electrical energy is generated from renewable sources. With the steps mentioned above, a CO₂ saving of approximately 90 tons/year is reached.
