From June 28 to June 30, 2011, the ZELLCHEMING-EXPO took place in Wiesbaden again, the largest exhibition and conference event held for paper and pulp industry in German speaking areas. 236 exhibitors from 19 countries presented their products and services during the ZELLCHEMING-EXPO 2011. Like last year, ALLPLAN was one of the exhibitors again and informed the exhibition visitors of the comprehensive possibilities of energy cost savings through optimization of the sites. In particular, two current research projects of ALLPLAN were of special interest. The first one deals with the possibilities of increasing the self-generation by optimizing the back-pressure of the steam turbines; this is being implemented together in three sites of Austrian paper and pulp industry. The second project deals with the possibilities of reaching additional revenue due to short-term power cut-off, which is of interest, first of all, for larger sites.
